Beaches

Broad Haven beach is a paradise for children. It is one of the finest and safest beaches in Pembrokeshire. Below the cliffs the numerous rock pools add zest to the fun and on the north end of the beach the craggy Lion Rock completes the scene.

There is plenty of room for ball games like cricket and rounders on the beach and, as well as swimming, the conditions are ideal for boating and fishing. Fishermen can try their luck from the rocks or in midsummer you can invariably watch the boats as they land their catches in the evening.

The water sport enthusiast can hire or purchase equipment within the village.  Alternatively, you can sit on the seafront and watch the many surfers with their kite and wind surfing friends taking advantage of the fantastic all year around waves.  The Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon also takes place annually within the village.

There are many other superb beaches within easy reach of Broad Haven: Little Haven – 1 mile; Druidston – 2 miles; Newgale – 6 miles; Marloes – 8 miles. St. David’s with its beautiful old cathedral is on the northern tip of St. Bride’s Bay – 17 miles.
