Surrounding Area

Pembrokeshire holds something for everyone. Fine bathing beaches for those who like a quiet, non-energetic holiday; ancient castles at Pembroke, Carew, Haverfordwest and Llawhaden and prehistoric monuments to interest historians; an incredible variety of rocks and formations to excite geologists; the island sanctuaries of Skomer, Skokholm, Grassholm and Ramsey with their teeming colonies of breeding seabirds and Atlantic Grey Seals to delight all naturalists. All these places are within a short driving distance of Broad Haven (there are regular daily boat services to Skomer from Martins Haven near Marloes throughout the summer months). The village shop, including an in-store bakery and post office, is open for your convenience well into the evening. Fresh bread and milk are obtainable daily – as well as your morning newspapers and croissants!
